Sound Familiar?

Placing food orders shouldn't take this long, or go this wrong.

In a lot of kitchens, ordering supplies still means phone calls, voicemails and handwritten lists. Here's what that costs you every week:
Integration icon

"I sit on hold for half an hour just to place one order"

You call the distributor. You get put on hold. You leave a voicemail. You wait for a call back, then read the whole list again. Every. Single. Week.
Integration icon

"We ordered 5 cases. They delivered 15."

Phone orders get misheard, then someone at the distributor types them up by hand. Or the truck shows up short on an item nobody warned you was out. You end up fixing mistakes instead of running your restaurant.
Integration icon

"We needed to order Sunday night but they were closed"

Their office shut at 5pm on Friday. You spot what's short after Sunday service, try their voicemail, and still make a rushed call Monday to be sure it landed.

Voice Ordering

Say what you need and see it written out.

Open VOS and speak your list: each item and how many cases or pounds you need. The whole order comes up for you to review, so a wrong count gets caught before it leaves. Nothing to type, nobody putting you on hold, and no rep scribbling it down on the other end.
Get through every item in one pass, with no call to make
Read every line on screen before you hit send
Works from the walk-in, the line, or the loading dock
Skip the 20-30 extra minutes it takes to call it in
24/7 Ordering

Order on your schedule, not your distributor's hours.

Place the order after close or before the morning crew gets in. Your distributor gets the order when you send it, even if they closed hours ago.
Send it right after your walk-through, while the gaps are fresh
Order at 2am, on weekends, or during a slow hour between shifts
No hold queue, and no waiting for their office to open before you can send it
Easy to hand off: whoever closes can send it

Inventory Visibility

Order from a list that updates with their stock.

Your distributor's product list in VOS changes whenever their stock goes up or down. You order from that list, not from an old printout.
Pick from a guide that stays current with their stock
Fewer out-of-stock surprises once the order is in
Fewer swaps you never asked for, so the menu stays as planned
Less back-and-forth with your rep over last-minute changes
Custom Order Guides

Your usual items, ready before you start.

Your distributor puts together a guide in VOS for your account, with the products you actually buy. You never start from a blank list. You just say how much. It's order entry system software built around your account, not a generic catalog to search.
Pre-loaded with your most-ordered items
Shows what your distributor charges your account
Each item matched to your distributor's item number, so nobody guesses what you meant
Your distributor updates the guide when items or prices change

Every order confirmed, logged and sent in a format your distributor can use.

The details that keep supply orders accurate, on record and off the phone.

iOS + Android App

Order wherever you notice you're running low, from the bar to the storeroom. The app runs on iPhones and Android phones.
Integration icon

Numbered, Timestamped Orders

Each order is saved with its own number and the time it was sent, plus who sent it. If a delivery doesn't match, you have the send time and order number to check against.
Integration icon

Order Confirmations

Once your order goes through, VOS confirms it by text message or push notification. No calling to check that it arrived.
Integration icon

Auto-Saved Orders

Pulled onto the line halfway through? VOS saves the order automatically, so you can pick up right where you stopped.
Integration icon

Web-Based Access

VOS also works as web-based order entry software, so you can send the order from the office computer with nothing to install on it.

Promos From Your Distributor

Your distributor can send deals and promos straight to your phone, as an app alert or a text message.

Watch a full supply order go in, start to finish

The demo runs 20 minutes. You'll see a spoken list turn into a checked, sent order. If your distributor isn't set up with VOS, tell us who they are and we'll point you in the right direction.
Simple Setup

Three steps to your first order

Getting order entry software into your kitchen needs no IT help and no new equipment. Your distributor takes care of step one.
1

Let your distributor get you ready

They load what you usually order, set your prices, and send you a login for your account.
2

Get the app on your phone

Install VOS from the App Store or Google Play and sign in. Most new accounts are up and ordering the same day.
3

Check the order and send it, 24/7

Say the items, look the order over and hit send. It reaches your distributor with a timestamp showing when it went out.

"I used to spend hours every week ordering food. Now it's simple, super easy, and I have free time to spend on other aspects of my restaurant."

Why VoiceOrder Solutions

Made for the kitchen placing the order.
Not the office keying it in.

Most order entry software is built for the seller's back office, to clean up orders after they arrive. VOS helps you get the order right where it starts: in your kitchen.

FAQ

Common questions about order entry software for small business

Do I have to switch distributors or systems for VOS?
No, as long as your distributor offers VOS. You keep buying from the same distributor, on the same account. If they don't offer it yet, send us their name. VOS is not a POS or an ERP, and it doesn't replace anything you run in the restaurant. It takes the place of the phone call, so the order goes in faster, with fewer mistakes, at any hour.
How does order entry software work for a restaurant?
It turns what you need into a written order and gets it to your distributor. With VOS, you open the app, say each item and how much you need, look it over and send it. Anyone on your team with the app can do it, from the walk-in to the receiving dock.
Can I order after my distributor closes for the day?
Yes. VOS is on 24/7, weekends and late nights too. The order is sent right when you finish, and it's there for your distributor when their office opens.
How does VOS keep my orders accurate?
Three ways: a guide built from your items, a review before sending, and a record of each order you send. Every item on the guide is one your distributor has already set up. You read the order on screen before it sends, instead of reading it out to someone taking notes. And each order logs its number, date, time and who placed it, so nobody has to argue later about what went in. Need something new? Your distributor can add it to your guide.
Is VOS a good fit for a small restaurant?
Yes. There's no IT person to hire, no hardware to buy and no long setup: your distributor gets the account ready. If your kitchen can talk through an order list, it can use VOS. There's no public price list. Your distributor can tell you how they offer VOS and whether it costs you anything, or you can contact us.
Does my distributor need new software to receive VOS orders?
Not to receive them. Once your distributor is on VOS, orders can go out by email with a PDF, Excel or Word copy attached, or by EDI, QuickBooks, or an API connection to their platform. Your distributor picks whichever one fits their system.
How do I get set up, and how long does it take?
Through your distributor, and most restaurants have their first order in the same day. They create your account and load your order guide into VOS order entry software, then you get the app. Buying from a distributor that doesn't use VOS yet? Ask them about it, or let us know and we'll find out who you should talk to.

Send your next supply order without dialing anyone.

Restaurants on VOS win back between 20 and 30 minutes whenever they order supplies. Your distributor can set you up, or send us a note and we'll help.
