For Food Distributors

A WizCommerce Alternative That Needs No Reading.

VOS skips the round trip. The kitchen says what it needs in the app, straight off its own guide, and approves the lines before it sends. WizCommerce's AI reads whatever an account sent you and turns it into an order for your team to check.

Why Teams Compare

Why distributors look for an alternative to WizCommerce

Searching for a WizCommerce competitor usually means one of a few quite different things, and only some of them are about reading documents. Three of them recur enough to be worth telling apart.
Integration icon

Something inferred still has to be checked

Their own description includes a final review step for your team before orders reach the ERP, which is the honest way to build it. It does mean the accuracy question stays with you: did it read that right, and did we spot it if not.
Integration icon

The platform arrives with the part you wanted

Store, CRM, payments, quoting and catalog imagery all come as one product family. They sit in the same product set, so ask what you are actually licensing and what you will realistically open.

Reading the mess is not the same as ending it

A tool that copes with scraps of paper and voice notes works because the scraps keep coming. Some would rather the kitchen stopped producing them at all, which is a different thing to buy.
What You Get

What a WizCommerce alternative does differently

Dashboard mockup
Voice Ordering

Spoken into lines, not onto a note

A chef says what is short and the items appear from that account's guide, already against your codes and your prices. The words become the lines as they are said, so nothing is left over afterwards for anybody to work out.
The person who placed it approves the list
Spoken in the cooler or the office, at any hour
20 to 30 minutes back against the same order by phone
Nobody writes up a reorder from an account on the app, so the reps get that time to sell
Order Guides

A short list that can only hold what you sell

Each account works from the items it actually buys, carrying your codes at the figure you hold for that customer. An order comes back in your own items and codes, because the guide it was built from only holds what you sell that account.
No unknown items and no codes to match up
The catalog and the pricing stay yours to set
Edit a guide once and the next order already has it
Nobody else is promoting into your customer's list

Delivery Formats

Delivered the way your office already takes it

The order leaves as an email carrying a PDF, Excel or Word file, or goes straight into your ERP over the API, over EDI, or into QuickBooks. No part of your stack has to move to make room for it.
Addressed to a named rep, or to the purchasing desk
On a direct feed nobody retypes it at your end
Its own number, with the date and time it was sent
Picking, billing and delivery carry on unchanged
Inventory Visibility

Stock on view as the orders come through

VOS carries real-time inventory visibility tied to order activity, and the catalog updates as stock levels change. It is not the system of record for stock: whatever you run today keeps that role, and a demo shows how the levels connect.
Across the whole catalog, not just the quick movers
Fewer stockout surprises on a late, heavy order
Levels come out of the system you count with now
No counting and no buying happens inside VOS

Not Either Or

When VOS and WizCommerce work together

Running both is a perfectly sensible outcome. VOS is not a WizCommerce replacement: it moves one group of accounts off producing paperwork at all, and anything still arriving as a scan or a spreadsheet keeps being read. For many distributors that is what a WizCommerce alternative amounts to.
Integration icon

Less arrives needing a verdict

Accounts on the app stop sending anything that has to be interpreted. Whatever reads documents for you has a smaller and stranger pile left, which is where it earns its keep.
Integration icon

Quotes, payments and the store stay put

None of that is on offer here and none of it is affected. VOS hands over a finished order and takes no view on what the rest of your stack does with it.
Integration icon

Point it at the accounts that phone most

Adding VOS removes nothing, so begin with a handful of the kitchens that ring the desk and leave every other arrangement exactly where it is.

See what lands on the desk

Twenty minutes. A buyer speaks, the lines come up from their guide, and what reaches you is already in lines.
Getting Started

Three steps, and nothing to train

No model has to learn your paperwork and no sample orders are needed. You hand over the lists, we open the accounts, your customers order.
1

Give us your guides

A spreadsheet is enough. Items and the price per account land in one admin screen, against the codes you already use.
2

Each customer is set up

Accounts get provisioned and the kitchen sees the app once. Most will have sent something in before the day ends.
3

Orders come in whole

Approved by the buyer, numbered and timed, set out in a format your desk already takes.

"I used to spend hours every week ordering food. Now it's simple, super easy, and I have free time to spend on other aspects of my restaurant."

Two Ways To Get A Clean Order

VoiceOrder Solutions vs WizCommerce.
Read back, or built as lines.

VOS has the order itemized from the outset, with nothing to read back. WizCommerce reads what arrived and rebuilds the order from it, so a WizCommerce alternative is really about whether an interpretation step exists at all. The table shows where each approach lands.

FAQ

Questions from distributors looking at AI order entry

Is VOS a WizCommerce alternative, and is it better than WizCommerce?
Narrower, and the difference is worth stating plainly. They take whatever arrives from an account and reconstruct the order from it, while VOS changes what the account sends so there is nothing to work out. At getting an accurate order from a busy kitchen that skips forms, we would back VOS. At reading a handwritten sheet, quoting an inquiry, running a storefront, a CRM or payments, no: none of that is ours, and none of it is being built.
Do they not handle voice already?
They do, and anybody claiming otherwise has not read their site: voice notes are on their own list of things the assistant reads, alongside scans and handwriting. The difference is not voice. It is that a note gets interpreted after the fact, while in VOS the speaking builds the lines and the buyer approves them before anything is sent.
Are they not built for food distribution too?
They are, and we are not going to pretend differently. Food and beverage is one of their named industries, with promotions, warehouse-level availability and unit-of-measure pricing in it. Our claim is narrower: one step, done one way, for the accounts that ring rather than log in.
Who checks the order before it reaches us?
In VOS it is the customer, on their own screen, before it sends. That matters because the only person who knows whether the order is right is the one who wants the goods. Be clear on the limit, though: this applies to orders placed in the app. A call or a voicemail to your desk gets no number, no timestamp and nothing moving against stock.
Does one of them have to go?
No, and we would not advise it if you have a real paperwork problem. They are aimed at different halves of it: one shrinks what arrives as a document, the other deals with what still does. Neither needs the other switched off.
How do the costs compare?
They quote the platform, the same as we do. The one price they publish is for their AI photo product, which is sold on its own page with its own tiers. The one thing worth noting is scope: ours covers one step, theirs covers a product family, so you are not comparing like for like anyway.
How fast could this be running?
Most distributors have it live in 24 to 48 hours, and most kitchens manage a first order that day. There is no model to train and nothing to connect, which is why a WizCommerce alternative gets looked at by teams who want one thing fixed this week.
Where do the WizCommerce details on this page come from?
The WizCommerce facts above were checked at wizcommerce.com, dated 10 October 2026: the product family, the assistant's own list of what it reads, the review step and their industry pages. We do not repeat their performance numbers, which are theirs to stand behind. Anything that has moved since is a mistake at our end.
